A DIFFERENT WAY TO CARE, BY UNDERSTANDING YOUR HEALTH IN ITS WHOLE LIFE
My journey
For over 26 years, I practiced allopathic medicine, a traditional medical practice based on conventional medications and treatments. Over the years, I realized that allopathic medicine, while essential in many situations, was not sufficient to meet the needs of all my patients. Chronic and complex conditions often required a more nuanced and personalized approach.
It was then that I began exploring the integrative approach to medicine. I added complementary therapeutic approaches to my medical toolkit, including homeopathy, herbal medicine, and trace element therapy. I also established fruitful collaborations with colleagues from various medical disciplines, including acupuncturists, physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, dietitians, and nutritionists. These approaches allowed me to address health problems in a more holistic way, taking into account not only the symptoms but also the underlying causes and the patient's overall health.
As I explored these integrative approaches, I came to understand the importance of preventive medicine. Disease prevention, particularly through patient education on nutrition, lifestyle, and other risk factors, became an essential part of my practice. Rather than simply treating symptoms when they arise, I sought to help my patients prevent these health problems in the first place.
My journey ultimately led me to become interested in functional medicine. This approach delves into the body's physiology and biochemistry to understand underlying dysfunctions and studies the constant communication between the various systems of our organism. It focuses on the patient's interaction with their environment. It prioritizes individualized treatments based on each patient's specific needs. It utilizes functional assessments that include analyses of micronutrient deficiencies, stress response (including oxidative stress), metabolic profiles, and assessments of the gut microbiota, as well as approaches to nutrition and micronutrition. Functional medicine aligns with my belief that personalized care is essential for achieving optimal health outcomes.

Today, my medical practice integrates a variety of approaches, from allopathic medicine to integrative, functional, and micronutritional methods. My goal is to offer my patients high-quality care tailored to their individual needs, with an emphasis on prevention, identifying the underlying causes of health problems, and promoting overall well-being.
